WOODSTOCK, CT —The world famous Disc-Connected K9s put on three shows at the 159th Woodstock Fair on Saturday, August 31st, to help raise awareness on rescue dogs. The performances were choreographed to music, and withheld a magnitude of freestyle moves and tricks to win over the hearts of all ages.

The performing dogs of Disc-Connected K9s were rescued, coming from homeless, sheltered, or abandoned backgrounds. Despite their hard past founded Laurence Fredrick of Jacksonville, FL, knew how to draw out each dogs hidden potential to put on a special show. Woodstock native, Marie Thibodeau shared, “I really liked that they chose rescue dogs and took the time to train them. All the dogs looked happy and healthy and actually enjoyed performing.”

The crowd couldn’t seem to get enough as they clapped and listened to each dogs individual story in awe, Laura Campion of Putnam, CT replied, “The Disc-Connected K9s were probably my favorite highlights of this years fair.” Others agreed such as John Smith of Hartford, CT, “The act was just so heartwarming and enjoyable for all.”

The last pooch to perform was Fuego, an Australian Shepard mix rescued from Texas. His confidence was unmatched as he sprinted and jumped through the air to catch each frisbee thrown his way. He flipped with ease as the sunlight shimmered off his brown coat.

At the end of the show, fans were allowed to stay for a meet and greet with the dogs for some well deserved praise and autographs.
